Konst ger utrymmet en atmosfär, skildrar en historia och är pricken på i:et i varje interiör. Man kan flytta runt i hela världen, hämta med sina ägodelar till vilken boning som helst - men det är konsten som får interiören att kännas som Din.
Jag heter Johanna Louhi, är modern konstnär med en magistersexamen i arkitektur från Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture i Helsingfors, Finland. Jag växte upp i Tyskland, med penseln i handen i en målburk intill min pappas staffli, omgiven av modern och forntida konst. Att gå på utställningar och besöka världens finaste muséer hörde till vardagen i vår konst- & designpassionerade familj.
Målandet, illustrationer och grafiska designprojekt har alltid varit en del av min vardag. Under studietiden blev jag uppmuntrad av mina professorer Kari Cavén och Ipi Kärki att börja sälja min konst, och har sedan dess gjort det.
Då vi med min egen familj hösten 2015 flyttade till Shanghai, Kina, för tre år, gav sig möjligheten att satsa enbart på konsten, vilket ledde till en storskaligare försäljning och solo-utställning. Sedan 2016 arbetar jag mer eller mindre på heltid som konstnär, och säljer huvudsakligen via min hemsida och sociala medier. Mina bilder ingår i privata samlingar runtom i Europa, USA, Ryssland, Japan, Singapore och Kina, och även i några konstorsbyggnader i Kina.
Konst ramar inte bara in personligheten, den lyfter vilket som helst rum från fint till exklusivt. Jag förstår mig på utrymmen & konst, och hur de två - kombinerade på bästa sätt, skapar en unik helhet. Jag passioneras av vackra miljöer som sträcker sig över och förbi "standarden". Konst är utsmyckningen som ger rummet en karaktär och väcker känslan av att vara hemma.

Art sets the ambiance of a room, it tells a story and lends the final touch to any interior. You can move around the world, bringing your belongings to any habitation – but it is your Art that truly makes the interior feel Yours.
I am Johanna Louhi, a contemporary Artist with a Master’s degree in Architecture from Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture in Helsinki, Finland.
I grew up in Germany, in a pot of paint next to my fathers easel, surrounded by modern and ancient art. Frequenting exhibitions and visiting the world’s finest museums was part of my upbringing in an art & design aficionado Nordic family.
Painting, illustrations and graphic design projects have always been part of my life. During my studies my professors Kari Cavén and Ipi Kärki encouraged me to start selling my art, and I have since.
As my own family moved to Shanghai - China in 2015 for three years, I had the opportunity to focus full time on art, which led to bigger sales and a solo exhibition. Since 2016 I work as a full time Artist, and mainly sell through my website and social media. My paintings are held in private collections around Europe, in the USA, Russia, Japan, Singapore and China, and also in a few office-buildings in China.
Art not only frames your individuality, it takes any room from good to great. I understand space & art and how the two – when perfectly paired, can make a better one. I’m passionate about beautiful living spaces that go above and beyond “standard”. Art is the jewellery that elevates rooms and ignites the feeling of being at home.

Taide luo tilan tunnelman, se kertoo tarinan ja tuo viimeisen silauksen jokaiseen sisustukseen. Voit muuttaa ympäri maailmaa, tuoden mukanasi esineesi asuinpaikkaasi, mutta taide on se mikä todella saa kodin tuntumaan omalta.
Olen Johanna Louhi, Aalto Yliopiston arkkitehtuurin maisterin tutkinnon omaava nykytaiteilija Helsingistä. Kasvoin Saksassa, sivellin kädessä maalipurkissa isäni maalaustelineen vieressä, modernin ja muinaisen taiteen ympäröimänä. Näyttelyissä ja maailman tunnetuimmissa museoissa vierailu oli osa kasvatustani taiteeseen ja muotoiluun intohimoistesti suhtautuvassa perheessäni.
Maalaus, kuvittaminen ja graafinen suunnittelu ovat aina olleet osa elämääni. Opintojeni aikana professorit Kari Cavén ja Ipi Kärki kannustivat minua myymään taidettani ja niin olen tehnyt siitä lähtien.
Kun oma perheeni muutti Kiinan Shanghaihin kolemksi vuodeksi vuonna 2015, minulla oli mahdollisuus keskittyä taiteeseen täyspäiväisesti, mikä johti suurempaan myyntiin ja yksityisnäyttelyyn. Vuodesta 2016 olen toiminut täyspäiväisenä taiteilijana ja myyn enimmäkseen töitäni nettisivujeni ja somen kautta. Maalauksiani on yksittäiskokoelmissa Euroopassa, Yhdysvalloissa, Venäjällä, Japanissa, Singaporessa ja Kiinassa, sekä muutamassa toimistorakennuksessa Kiinassa.
Taide ei ainoastaan kehystä yksilöllisyyttäsi, vaan se myös muuttaa huoneen hyvästä mahtavaksi. Ymmärrän tilaa ja taidetta ja miten ne kaksi, täydellisesti yhdistettynä, voivat luoda uniikin kokonaisuuden. Suhtaudun intohimoisesti kauniisiin elintiloihin, jotka nousevat yli "standardin". Taide on koru joka nostaa huoneen ja sytyttää tunteen kodista.
